VOTER SUPPRESSION
Democracy is under attack in America. The peoples' right to vote is being undermined as never before as states try to hold back the future by restricting access to the ballot by their Black and Brown populations. Georgia is a leading offender. WVWW is on the front lines of resistance to voter suppression in Georgia. Help us turn the tide.
MEDICAID EXPANSION
Access to quality medical care is a basic right, especially in a country as rich as ours. Yet the Georgia legislature denies coverage to hundreds of thousands of citizens by refusing millions in federal dollars to pay for the cost of the program. WVWW is stepping up to help reverse this madness and secure medical coverage for all Georgians. Join us.
REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE
Reproductive choice is the key to unlocking opportunities for American women. The reversal of Roe v. Wade and the implementation of Georgia's restrictive abortion law are extreme setbacks to women's health and freedom. WVWW is lifting up privacy and choice as core political issues for Georgia and the nation.
CARE PROJECT
The coronavirus pandemic opened eyes to glaring health disparities impacting minority communities. It also revealed the economic and public health importance of caregivers, most of whom are women. Paid parental leave, as well as quality childcare and eldercare systems, will be vital to economic growth and social equity going forward. Help WVWW make it happen.
